National Convention in Dehli on 2-3-4 November

The splendid Ashok Hotel in Dehli was the setting for the National Convention of INTACH, held on 2-3-4 November to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

During three days more than 150 members of the different chapters of INTACH discussed the achievements of the last 20 years, and worked out the strategy "INTACH 2020", in which a greater importance is given to the intangible heritage, in contradiction to the importance of the restauration of buildings and artefacts, that reigned up until now. Geert Robberechts, president of INTACH Belgium, urged the Assembly to set up more chapters abroad, in order to responsibilise the many NRI-communities for the conservation of the Indian heritage.
